February Needs

Dear Prayer partners,

We pray that the Lord has blessed you during these days of Winter.

The Lord certainly answered prayer as many of us traveled many miles over the
last month. The students at the Seminary survived their classes. Everyone
is happy to be back at home. Thank you for praying for safe travels.

We have two prayer requests to share with you today.

1) Many of you know Max from First Church in Moscow. He is the pianist.
The other night he was visited by 6 men trying to extort money from him.
This is a very frightening situation. They have given him about 10 days to
come up with the funds or have threatened to hurt him. He has been very
frightened by this situation. His computer was stolen and the phone was torn
from the wall. They threatened to tie him up with the phone cord, and one
man had a knife. Please pray that this situation will be resolved!

2) We are planning to build a sanctuary onto the church in Viasma, Russia
this summer. We have followed all the legal requirements for permission to
build. However, the assistant to the Mayor in Viasma has refused to sign the
documents. He said that he just didn't want to sign them. We are praying
about this situation. On February 29 we will have a meeting with the Mayor
of the town. Please pray that he will decide in our favor! What they are
doing is not legal but, they persist.

Thanks for praying! God answers prayer.
