Fred, Sherry, George
Prayer partners. I am forwarding a note from Sherry about the latest
tragedy in their lives. Please keep praying for them.
On another note, my husband went to the endocrinologist this morning about
the lump on his neck. The doctor will do a needle biopsy on it on Sept. 5.
The location of the lump is in the thyroid. We are assuming it is benign
unless told otherwise. His sister was diagnosed with uterine cancer two
weeks ago and will begin radiation treatments next week.
Cancer seems to be prevalent at every turn, but I know that in the spirit we
can overcome. We can experience that peace that surpasses understanding.
And for those in turmoil right now, others of us can have faith for them . .
.and lift them before the throne daily. That is we we so much need
"community."
Especially remember Fred Pinson as he suffers yet another blow in his life.
God bless all of you for your faithfulness.

>From Sherry:>
>You all have been so kind to pray for Fred's daughter, Rachel, and the news
>continues to be good. The tumor continues to shrink and the doctors have
>found a way to make chemo less than horrendous for her. She is soldiering
>onward!
>
>But yesterday we received a call from Fred's brother-in-law, Mike, telling
>us that Fred's sister, Donna, had been taken to the hospital with chest
>pains. She was scheduled for some diagnostic tests, and I don't know if
>those were actually done, but she died unexpectedly this morning
(Wednesday)
>of a massive heart attack. She was only 51 or 52 and had no history of any
>kind of health problems.
>
>Mike and Donna pastored a Church of God congregation in Ridgeway, Ohio.
>Their daughter Dawn had just on Monday given birth to their first
>grandchild, a son. When I spoke to Mike after Donna was first admitted, he
>told me a little about the birth and how excited they were and then said,
>"This [Donna's hospitalization] has put a damper on things for now, but
>there will be time for joy again later."
>
>>Blessings to you all.
