CIS Prayer: The saga continues...
Maybe by now you have realized that living in Russia is never dull, and it is always full of surprises.
So many of you have written that you are praying about our visa situation. We are as well. It is important that we are able to receive visa through our registration.
On Tuesday Tamara and Olga went to the government office that issues letters of invitation. They found that the Big Boss wasn't willing to see anyone that day, however, one of the Lower Bosses would be seeing people for one hour. They had to take a number. They were number 36. As the hour was drawing to a close it was becoming apparent that they would never get in to see the Lower Boss.
Finally, they decided that Tamara would take the pile of our documents to the window where you submit them for invitations and see what they would say to her. A different young lady was working there, and she looked them over and said she didn't see any reason why we shouldn't be given the one-year multiple-entry visas. However, she said there wasn't enough documentation supporting the fact that our children would need these visas as well. The children are simply listed as family members, which has always been the case. However, now we have to prove why we need our children with us. She said if we could do that, the papers could be resubmitted on Thursday morning, with a decision to be made by Friday.
So, that is where we stand. Wednesday is their day off. Please pray for Olga and Tamara as they prepare the documents for our girls so that they can live with their dad and mom :)
We'll keep you updated.
Thanks for praying.
