CIS Prayer: Thanks for praying!
Dear Prayer Partners,
Thank you so much for all of your prayers last week. The Lord certainly heard and answered your prayers. Colleen Skinner is doing much better. After having spent a night in the hospital she returned to us on very strong antibiotics and pain medication. On Thursday her pain almost miraculously subsided and she was able to join us for Thanksgiving dinner.
In the meantime, things continue to be rather fluid in Ukraine. We all continue to pray for a peaceful resolution to the situation. Our team has returned to Kyiv so please, keep them in your prayers.
I also wanted to share an update on the Beslan Crisis in Russia. Thank you so much to all of you who sent in donations to help with the crisis. Your response has been overwhelming. At the same time, God has been working and opening doors for ministry.
We have been able to help the Russian Baptist district of Southern Russia with their ministry to the Pastor's families in Beslan that lost their children. Our DS of the South Nazarene District, Sergei Archakov, has been able to work directly with the DS of the Baptist district. We are grateful for this contact and relationship. It has been a wonderful way to be able to minister together with our other brothers and sisters in the faith here in Russia.
Also, Pastor Tanya of Moscow First Church has been able to work with Russian Ministries and has been able to minister to needy families here in Moscow. Also, a dear friend of ours, Boris Berezhnoy will be going to Beslin in the next couple of weeks to minister to people down there. Through this tragedy the Lord has opened the door for ministry to many people that did not know about Christ. We are able to help support this ministry as well.
Thank you to you all for your faithful prayers and support.
Blessings,
The CIS Team
